The Story of the Mosher Family

When they are not building dreams straight out of a storybook, Dean & Pagan Mosher enjoy all kinds of activities with the community they love. Their two adult children Megrez & Cleveland, are both successful artists in their own right.

Dean Mosher is a renowned artist, noted for his exceptionally meticulous and historically accurate depictions of military operations in our American past. He has paintings in National Parks, major universities, the Naval and Coast Guard Academies, and The Smithsonian Air & Space Museum on the Mall in D.C., to name the highlights. He is also known for his engaging lectures on multiple historical topics. When not painting Mr. Mosher is found building new structures, whimsical enhancements, or restoring the Castles. 

Mrs. Mosher, a retired professional dancer was Co-Owner, Director, and instructor at the Creative Outlet Dance Center for over 40 years. In tandem, she directed The Children’s Dance Theatre of Fairhope where she was also known for extraordinary set designs, costumes, and props. Presently, she runs their business, Storybook Castles AirBnB. The Airbnb was listed in 2021 as Alabama’s most wished listed! Maintaining the flower gardens and directing the Castle Walk portion of the Walking School Bus program is her real joy.
